Single Name CDS reporting is live on OTCStreaming

OTCStreaming broadcasts since Friday 25th the single name credit default swaps mandatory reported under the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. While credit index swaps are reported since 2012, the single name reporting was long overdue. The raw data stream is available on DTCC since February 14th. Raw data are heterogenous and OTCStreaming is using its technology to map and enriched each reported trade on its standardized data framework. A few situations require a market knowledge, OTCStreaming team is doing its best effort to offer the most accurate analysis of each trade but users’ participation is welcome to challenge on-line this analysis and to suggest an alternative analysis to the moderator. OTCStreaming is ready to take care of any suggestion as quickly as possible to entertain for everyone an as clean as possible dataset.

Over the last 2 weeks, 9,000 trades have been processed by OTCStreaming on more than 550 different entities. Around 50% of trades are on US corporates, 30% from European corporates and 20% on sovereign entities.

Users get access to the data within their current preferred access point: API, Excel or just on the website with all their usual analytics on this new dataset.

OTCStreaming will share in the next coming weeks its analysis of this dataset and how it is a good proxy of actual trading activity in the credit derivatives market.
